KAU accredited by NCAAA

After a lengthy and rigorous self-examination process and demonstrating compliance with academic standards and accreditation criteria, King Abdulaziz University (KAU) has been accredited by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA).
A special ceremony to celebrate the achievement and honour members of the preparatory committees for institutional accreditation was held on Tuesday April 22nd at King Faisal Convention Centre in the presence of KAU President, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, and some other senior KAU executives.
The achievement attests to our ongoing commitment and dedication to acquire accreditations and international certificates", said Prof Tayyeb.
In his speech, Prof Abdul-Fattah Mashat, KAU Vice President for Development, said KAU had earned praise from evaluators for the clarity and appropriateness of its mission statement, adequacy of its computing equipment and software and related support services, full involvement of the female section in planning and decision making processes, the appropriate provision made for students and staff with physical disabilities or other special needs and the provision of support to scientific research.
Female members of the the preparatory committees for institutional accreditation were honoured by Dr Hanaa Al-Naeem, Dean of the Women's Section, in a separate ceremony held at the Women's Campus. |
