KAU Delegation Visits Governor of Jeddah

Prince Mishal ibn Majed, Governor of Jeddah, received on Sunday, June 20th, a KAU delegation led by HE Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, KAU President.

Prof Tayyeb was accompanied by Prof Abdurrahman Alyoubi, Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof Abdullah M. Mohorji, Dean of Students' Affairs, Dr Abdellatif A. Nimat Allah, Vice Dean of Students' Affairs, Dr Waleed Kheshaifaty, Vice Dean of Students' Affairs for Housing and Catering Services, Dr Abdurrahman I. Al-Habib, Dr Abdulwahab S. Mashat, Mr Ahmed M. Al-Zughbi, Head of the Students' Activities, in addition to a number of winners of the students' cultural, scientific and social competitions.
  
In his speech, Prof Mohroji enumerated the university's achievements during the year, including that of hosting the 7th Cultural and Scientific Week of GCC Universities and Higher Education Institutions and the 1st Cultural and Sports Olympics of Saudi Universities and Higher Education Institutions, sending a KAU delegation to visit members of the Saudi Armed Forces stationed in Jazan, participating in Ibtikar 2010 Exhibition and launching a campaign to restore the affected university facilities in the aftermath of the devastating floods in Jeddah province.

Prince Mishal then gave a speech in which he passed on some useful advice to the students and congratulated them on their achievements before posing for a group photo with members of the delegation.

At the end of the visit, Prof Tayyeb presented Prince Mishal with a keepsake on the occasion.
