King Salman approves naming of Islamic Crescents' Observation and Moon Research Chair after King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has given his seal of approval to the naming of the KAU-based Islamic Crescents' Observation and Moon Research Chair after the late King Abdallah bin Abdulaziz.

Hosted by the Makkah Royal Hotel Clock Tower, part of the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project in the holy city of Makkah, the chair provides a number of services, including crescent visibility for both new and old crescents and accurate calculations of astronomical events such as sun times and moon times and phases.
