KAU President holds annual meeting with students

As has been customary, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, KAU President, held an annual interactive meeting with the students, Thursday, at the theatre of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

A crowd of senior KAU executives attended the meeting.

In what was described as a cordial traditional meeting, Prof Tayyeb said the President-Students forum was held with the express purpose of listening to students' comments and suggestions in order to identify and address their various academic needs.

A number of issues pertinent to student life and learning at the university were openly discussed at the meeting, during which Prof Tayyeb listened and responded to points raised by a number of students.

Stressing that they were the university's top priority, Prof Tayyeb urged the students to voice their views, comments and concerns.

He also seized the opportunity to brief them on the university's various achievements, with particular emphasis on academic accreditations and improving KAU's position in international rankings.

He also affirmed commitment to promoting scientific research and improving the quality of education.

A new website for the 6th Forum of King Abdulaziz University Science Students was also launched on the sidelines of the event. The website is created with the purpose of providing participants with information about the forum's programme, side events, registration and general requirements.

The forum is a great opportunity for the students to present their research projects and creative ideas in various disciplines.
