1-What is about the pricing of the University printed matter?
The pricing of the University prints is done according to the regulations stipulated in the University Council Decree No.(32) that was taken in the sixth meeting for the University Session 1425/1426AH. It was based on the actual cost of preparing these prints.

2-Does the University offer the students a reduction on the prescribed price for its prints?
The University shoulders a large percentage of the value of its prints. The decree for pricing of prints was based not only on the actual cost but also on a 75% reduction for students and 50% for the University Employees when they purchase directly from SPC. All what is required from them is to prove that the book prescribed for them by their college; so as to misuse this right that has been given to the University students. The Periodicals issued by the University are sold for SR10 for a single issue.
 As for the general subjects text books like Islamic Culture and Communication Skills the price for each was set to only SR18 despite the number of pages for each book is between 300 – 400 page; and the prices of these books were printed on their covers, so as to deter them from exploitation of commercial bookshops.

3-How can books and periodicals issued by SPC be bought?
The SPC publications are sold at Dar Hafez for Publication and Distribution inside and outside the University and other collaborating bookshops. They can also be bought by mail in places where no bookshops are available through sending a Purchase Request to SPC defining the requested copies of a book or periodical accompanied by a cheque worth the required price and SPC as the beneficiary, together with the address to which the prints are going to be sent.

4-How could a Staff Member publishes his/her teaching authorships?
 There are two ways: The first one is to publish according to the unified regulations for university scientific research; where the author or translator presents a request to department board concerned stipulating in it the need for the book with an attached typescript on CD and two printed copies. The college then transfers the endorsed request to the Scientific Council for issuing a resolution to publish the book after it has been reviewed. The second method is the publication through the Academic Services Programme (Parallel Publication) that are presented by SPC according to Article (47) of the regulations organizing the financial affairs at universities.

5-Does SPC stipulates writing the authorships manuscripts on a program or a certain way?
  The periodical articles and book are typed on Microsoft Word. The books that contain many images must be typed on In Design and abiding the writing bases put under the title (Guidelines for Authors).

6-What are the conditions for publishing at JKAU?
1-Matter presented for publication must not be published before or presented for publication. If accepted for publication must not be published with the same shape or any language except with an editor-in-chief  permission.
2-Matter should not be published before reviewing.
3-Original works; book reviews, letter to the editor are accepted for publication in JKAU.
4-Abidance by writing bases for each of the ten JKAU Periodicals: Arts and Humanities; Science; Economics and Administration,….etc
6-How could get a feed back for manuscript that I have sent for publication at JKAU?
This done through contacting the Editor-in-chief of the concerned periodical on his email address or the ordinary mail registered in the inside cover of the periodical.

7-I am a researcher outside KSA and I would like to publish a research at JKAU. How could I send the manuscript?
The manuscript is sent to the Editor-in-Chief of the concerned periodical through his email address or the ordinary mail registered in the inside cover of the periodical.

8-I am a Staff Member outside KSA and I would like to publish a book; how could I do that?
If you have already prepared the book; you can send an original copy of the manuscript to the KAU Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research ( Chairman of the Scientific Council) and presenting its subject and idea; the extent for the need for it and the possibility for its distribution so as to see whether it can be published by KAU.

9-I am a Faculty Member at KAU; I would like to translate a book and publish it by the University. How could I do that?
If the book has been translated it should be sent together with the original copy to KAU Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research ( Chairman of the Scientific Council) through the department concerned and emphasizing its importance and need for it in teaching a subject. If the Scientific Council agreed for the translation publication; then SPC undertakes the communication with the publisher to acquire the right for translation and publication in an Arabic language.
