A plethora of resolutions were adopted by the Senate of King Abdulaziz University (KAU) at its fourth meeting held on Thursday April 9th.
Chaired by Acting KAU President, Prof Abdurrahman Alyoubi, the meeting was attended by Dr Mohammed A. Al-Saleh Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, Prof Adnan H. Zahed Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof Abdullah M. Mohorji Vice President, Prof Abdul-Fattah Mashat Vice President for Development, Dr Ahmed H. Nagadi Vice President for Business and Knowledge Creativity, Prof Abdullah O. Bafil Vice President for Projects, and other deans of deanships and faculties.
The meeting approved a service contract between Jeddah Community College (JCC) and Ernst & Young Company.
A service contract between the Tourism Institute and the Protocol School of Washington was also approved.
A Master’s programme in accounting by research and courses and another in professional accounting presented by the Department of Accounting of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, in addition to a PhD programme in mechanical Engineering by research and courses were also approved.
A new formation of the editorial board of the Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture and a Code of Ethics for members of academic staff were also approved.
Some other appointments, reappointments, promotions and dispatches were also approved.
