KAU has signed an agreement between Islamic Economics Center and Al Rajhi Charity Foundation for the training of 20 students upon their graduation.
The students will undergo a rehabilitation program in Islamic Finance and Islamic Banking (KAFAEH) which firstfruit activities will start in the second semester 2015/2016.
Dr. Turkustani expressed his satisfaction about the signing of the agreement the first of its kind and indicated that other agreements that support this program's objectives will follow.
He pointed out that this program aims at promoting BA graduating students' capacities and potentials needed for practicing the field of Islamic finance and banking.
As it aims at preparing future Islamic financing services' providers through training them with basic and necessary skills to undertake the profession.
Needless to mention that Al Rajhi Charity Foundation is considered a corporate donor that focus its efforts on assisting non-profit organizations licensed in Saudi Arabia in educational, social, health, advocacy, media and mosque construction among other acts of goodness and righteousness.
The Foundation provides support for more than 1200 charity projects in more than 130 cities and villages through its branches that cover the totality of the kingdom. Such support is managed based on strategy that fulfill the community needs and necessities.
The Islamic Economics Center Director announced a number of training packages of this program that will be available for both faculty of economics and management male and female students in the first session of the training program that will launch tomorrow Monday May 2nd through the CCTV. He added that other sessions of the program will follow shortly.
