Saudi Association for Civil Engineering highlights Haramain High Speed Rail Project
 The Saudi Association for Civil Engineering in collaboration with the Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) held an event, Monday, at Hilton Jeddah, to highlight the Haramain High Speed Rail Project.

A concurrent exhibition was also staged on the sidelines of the event, which was attended by SRO President Eng. Mohamed khaled al suwaiket, Professor Abdurrahman Alyoubi, Acting KAU President, and Professor Abdullah Mohorji, KAU Vice President.  

Speakers highlighted the importance of the project in enhancing the Saudi economy within the government's comprehensive development strategy.

The Haramain High Speed Rail Project or the "Western Railway" or "Makkah-Medina high speed railway" is a 453.0 kilometres (281.5 mi) connecting the holy city of Makkah with Jeddah and Madina.
