New e-Administration & e-Finance Services Launched

KAU Acting President Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Youbi launched a new set of e-services which were developed by the IT Deanship for upgrading administrative and financial transactions in the university.

The event was attended by KAU Vice President Dr. Abdullah Moharji; IT Dean Dr. Khalid Husain; and Supervisor General of Self-Finance Administration Dr. Abdul-Aziz Ba-Shmakh.

A detailed presentation of the electronic systems and e-services that support the university’s various sectors was given by IT Dean Dr. Khalid Husain.  These in-house developed services include administrative and financial e-services; admission and registration; e-report systems; and key performance indicators.  The presentation also detailed the launching of 10 new e-services: Academic Recruitment Service; Exam Invigilation Record; Staff Secondment; Teaching Staff Remunerations; Performance Evaluation; Money Transfers; Overtime Work;  Key Performance Indicators; Electronic Reports; and Work Schedules.

“The inauguration of this e-service package is part and parcel of an integrated dynamic e-system for fully transforming KAU into a paperless e-university – a process which has saved 98% of traditional transaction time, as well as millions of riyals annually,” Dr. Husain announced.

Dr. Al-Youbi lauded the IT Deanship’s role as the mainstay of all the university’s  e-projects in support of the educational process – underscoring the fact that technological progress is a measure of success for any international university.  He also added that KAU’s continuous e-learning and e-administration development have put it at the forefront of top international universities; and that the IT Deanship has seized the advanced digital technology initiative not only by offering such e-innovations, but by implementing them as well.

On the other hand, KAU Vice President Dr. Abdullah Moharji expressed the university’s appreciation for the IT Deanship’s role in consolidating its e-administration and e-finance transactions.  Moreover, he pointed out that KAU was keen on fulfilling its staff’s technological needs.  In addition, he praised the relevant support rendered by the Self-Finance Administration and other KAU sectors in implementing these e-services.

Finally, Dr. Khalid Husain expressed his appreciation to KAU’s President, Vice President, and all staff for their great role in supporting all the IT Deanship’s endeavors.   Thanking the IT Deanship’s staff for their constant efforts, he pointed out that such achievements could not have been realized without the feedback received from KAU staff.
