Induction programme for new comers inaugurated

| An induction programme for the new students was inaugurated Monday by Prof Abdurrahman Alyoubi, acting KAU President, at the Theatre of the Deanship of Student Affairs.
The week-long programme is designed to give new joiners a glimpse of the campus life and aid them in fitting in the University as quickly as possible. It also assists them in choosing their majors.
Prof Alyoubi pointed out that KAU was extremely keen to make use of the event to familiarise the students with the KAU faculties, departments and courses in a bid to help them decide on their tracks of study and to ensure smooth involvement of students into tertiary life.
According to Dr Abdelmonem Alhayni, Dean of Student Affairs, the programme is designed to provide fresh joiners with necessary information about KAU's facilities, faculties, academic programmes and department admission requirements.
An exhibition and orientation meetings with the faculties' staff will also be organised with the intention of making the new starters comfortable and zealous about this new life experience, according to Dr Hamza Al-Zubaidi, Director of the Foundation Year Programme.
