Two internationally reputable mathematicians visit KAU

Prof Efim Zelmanov, mathematics professor at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and recipient of the Fields Medal, commonly known as the Nobel Prize for mathematicians, and Prof S.K. Jain, a distinguished mathematician at Ohio University, US, paid a visit to KAU this week.
The two distinguished scholars were received by Dr Saeed A. Afandi, Director of the Programme of Educational Graduate Studies, Dr Omer Ba Dawood, the programme's deputy director, and Dr Adil Al-Ahmadi, advisor to the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
The purpose of the visit was to stimulate cutting-edge research in mathematics in general. |
