Symposium on the skills of dealing with the media held by Prince Naif Chair for Ethical Values

 
 A symposium on the skills of dealing with the media was held by Prince Naif Chair for Ethical Values, Monday, at the KAU’s supreme administration building.

Moderated by Dr Saeed A. Affandi, the Chair's Supervisor, the event was attended by a number of civil defence officers and KAU staff.

In his lecture, Dr Sharea Al-Bogami, KAU's official spokesman and director of the media centre, stressed the role played by mass media and their positive reflections on the works relevant to Hajj.

He also urged all those involved in serving the pilgrims to cooperate with the media in order to successfully cover this great event.

He also stressed that the Civil Defence was well-equipped to efficiently carry out its mission during this holy season.  

In his lecture, Dr Zamil A. Abu Zenagah, head of department of public relations, spoke about the role of the civil defence in supporting the media plans during the Hajj season, stressing the importance of professionally dealing with different foreign news agencies.

Dr Saleh Hamid, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council and Imam of the Holy Mosque, gave a lecture in which he stressed the greatness of this act of worship.  

He also urged all sectors involved in serving the guests of Allah, including the Civil Defence, to do all they could possibly do and to put all their efforts and potentials in order to enable them to perform their rituals easily.

The event was part of the Chair’s mission of promoting ethical values in the community and in line with a policy of bolstering mutual cooperation with sectors of the government.
