MOU for joint cooperation inked between K.A.CARE and KAU

 
 King Abdulaziz University (KAU) signed, Thursday 4th September 2014,  a memorandum for joint cooperation with King Abdallah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE’s) to study and develop sustainable energy solutions.

The memorandum was signed by KAU President, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, and K.A.CARE’s Vice-President, Dr. Waleed Hussein Abulfaraj.

The signing ceremony, which took place at KAU's Senate, was attended by Prof Abdurrahman Alyoubi, KAU Vice President for Educational Affairs.

The purpose of the agreement is to study and develop sustainable energy solutions, said Prof Tayyeb.

According to Prof Abulfaraj, K.A.CARE is empowered to propose national policies governing atomic and renewable energy, draft the necessary plans and strategies for the implementation thereof, including the provision of care and support to R&D activities, scientific development and localization of technology and know-how, coordination of such other activities as necessary with scientific research centres and institutions within the Kingdom.
