Induction programme for new students inaugurated

An induction programme for the new students was launched by the Deanship of Registration and Admission from Sunday 18th August to Thursday August 28th.

The male programme was held at Building 471 and the female one was held at Building 29.

According to Dr Amin Y. Numan, Dean of Admission and Registration, the programme was designed to provide fresh joiners with necessary information about the university's various amenities, facilities, faculties and academic programmes. It will also train them how to use the university portal, choose their majors, give them a glimpse of the campus life and aid them in fitting in the university as early as possible.

This year, the Deanship of Admission and Registration has developed a new strategy through which many of the previously-encountered problems relating to admission and registration have been overcome, Dr Numan added.

All stages of registration are now electronically carried out starting from receiving supporting documents from the applicants up to the point where they are recognized as students and given their university ID cards. The whole process takes approximately half a minute to complete, he further added.
