I obtained my PhD from McGill University, Canada at 1985 in Civil Engineering.
I worked at Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering, Irrigation and Hydraulic
Department as a professor of irrigation structure design, I also worked as
a head of irrigation department at Pacer Consultants. Most of my work was design and construction supervision of several projects in cooperation with German and American consulting firms. Now, I teach three courses First: HWR 342 which is about management of urban water systems, Second: HWR 422 which is about desigen of hydraulic structures (see photo album) and Third: HWR 442 which is about design of water networks. Also I participated in several research projects about water management and protection against flash floods.

Research Interests
My main interest is water resources studies. I’ve been involved in many studies related to water resources management and water resources economics. Among those, Allocation of irrigation water cost among water users, farm irrigation water management and Hada alsham water management. Also, design of irrigation structures is one of my interest where I participated in the design of several large scale projects in Egypt.
