Dr. Anas A. Makki is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research in Rabigh, and a part-time advisor in the Financial Sustainability Office at King Abdulaziz University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the College of Computer Science and Engineering, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also holds a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Management and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering from the School of Engineering at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. He also worked as a Researcher/Research Fellow at the Smart Water Research Centre and the Center for Infrastructure Engineering and Management at Griffith University, Australia. Since 2010, he has worked as a faculty member in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the College of Engineering in Rabigh as a lecturer, assistant professor, and associate professor. He also served as Head of the Industrial Engineering Department at the College of Engineering in Rabigh from 2017 AD to 2019 AD and as a consultant at the Rabigh Projects Agency from 2018 AD to 2019 AD. He has peer-reviewed and published research in smart metering, end-use water, water demand forecasting, renewable energy, safety, green entrepreneurship, environmentally conscious manufacturing, financial technology, financial sustainability, and engineering education. He also serves as a referee for several scientific journals and conferences. His experience includes teaching industrial engineering courses, supervising graduation projects at the bachelor’s level, and refereeing scientific theses at the postgraduate level. He holds a professional accreditation with a (consultant) degree in industrial engineering from the Saudi Council of Engineers and has several memberships in local and international scientific societies.
