Call for Papers

King Abdulaziz University hosts a conference titled "Academic Advising in Higher Education of the Gulf Cooperation Council States: Reality and Hope”. The conference will be held on the 20th and the 21st of Muharram 1437 H corresponding to the 2nd and the 3rd of November 2015.

All educational institutions in the Arab region and the Arabian Gulf aim for their educational outcomes to be in line with the international systems of quality assurance. They seek for their graduates to be at the same level of their peers in advanced countries. Consequently, the conference "Academic Advising in Higher Education of the Gulf Cooperation Council States: The Status Quo and Aspiration” aims to activate the participation of universities in developing the role of academic advising and accordingly improve the quality of education. Therefore, the conference organizers are calling for submission of academic papers that investigate and discuss the role of academic advising in motivating higher education male and female students toward excellence and academic success, current challenges that face personnel working in the academic advising fields, and the ways of innovation and improvement of academic advising throughout its phases: before, during and after university studies.
